Why this is not optional
React Native moves fast — most teams don’t keep up
React Native ships a new minor version every few months. Without someone dedicated to the upgrade treadmill, most apps quietly fall multiple versions behind — and every version behind makes the next jump riskier and slower.
App stores enforce hard deadlines
Google and Apple both set annual minimum target-SDK requirements. Miss one and your app can be blocked from updates or removed from the store outright — independent of whether it still works fine for users today.
Upgrade cost compounds, it doesn’t stay flat
An app one year behind is usually a few days of upgrade work. Two or three years behind, dependencies, native modules, and breaking changes stack up — the same upgrade can turn into weeks, at much higher risk of regressions.

Frequently asked questions
Who owns the code and the data?
You do, from the first commit. The repository lives in your GitHub account, and the Supabase, Apple, and Google accounts are all yours — nothing sits somewhere you’d need to negotiate access to later.
What if we want to leave?
Take the repository and the accounts with you. There’s no lock-in mechanism and no dependency on this being an ongoing relationship.
Why is this so much cheaper than the agency quote we got?
Agency quotes price in account management, a bigger team, and margin on margin. This is one person writing the code, setting up the backend, and submitting to the stores — the price reflects that, not a cut scope.
Can we add features later?
Yes — either as scoped one-off work, or through the Pro or Full maintenance plans, which include a monthly release cycle for exactly that.
What if you're unavailable?
You own the code and every account, so any React Native developer can pick up the repository. Essencial plan response times are documented, and nothing in the codebase depends on this being the only person who can touch it.
Do you work with companies outside Portugal?
Yes. The whole engagement runs remotely — scoping calls, reviews, and handover all happen over video call and your own accounts, wherever you’re based in Europe.
How do you handle invoicing and VAT across the EU?
Invoices are issued by AdvanceTribute Lda, a Portuguese company. VAT is handled under the applicable EU reverse-charge or standard rules depending on your country and VAT status — confirmed on the scoping call.
